It also has some of the best range of any electric car. All of this is packed into a sleek design that exemplifies the whole concept of a sports car, while at the same time being incredibly spacious on the inside. Despite the price tag being around $75,000, this is a car that matches the capabilities of many super cars, which are at least ten times the price.
Nissan Leaf
Sometimes something becomes insanely popular because it is somewhat overrated, and sometimes something becomes insanely popular because it is an incredible product that is deserving of its renown. The Nissan Leaf is the latter, as it has become the highest-selling electric car in the history of automobiles. There’s great reason for this. The Leaf is a very comfortable car to drive, and has a very comfortable 135 km of range. This little wonder car is also available at a very affordable price tag of around just $20,000.
Renault Zoe
Nearly every industrialized country on Earth has a company that is working towards higher performance electric cars. The Renault Zoe is the flagship of France’s effort towards this global endeavor. The Zoe is an all around solid car that is right there in the price range of the Nissan Leaf. The interior of the car is quite elegant, and speaks to a semblance of luxury. While the electric motor can only produce a top speed of 88 mph, it has really nice range for an electric car (and most speed limits around the world don’t even get near 88 mph, anyways).
